BIOGRAPHY
The only information we have about Margaret Tesch is that she was a German businesswoman who, after participating in spiritualistic séances, began to produce mediumistic paintings under influence of a spirt guide. Her works show organic forms of seemingly intertwined birds and fish, which she often combines with portraits of women wearing oriental-looking, lavish headgear emerging from decorative organic structures. Characteristic of her style is the bright lightness of thick layers of oil paint in pastel-like hues.
